Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse in California This position involves providing comprehensive care to antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum patients, stable newborns, and sick neonates requiring stabilization for transport. The RN will be responsible for caring for patients through all phases of labor and neonatal stabilization, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and patient safety.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Graduate of School of Nursing, current California State License as a Registered Nurse required, BSN/BA preferred, one-year labor experience required or completed extended orientation period, up to a year, meeting all expectations for no labor experience, BLS upon hire and ongoing, NRP within 6 months of hire and ongoing, Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification within 6 months of hire and ongoing, Gnosis annual assessment of EFM principles within 3 months of hire and ongoing, BFHI (Baby-Friendly) Lactation Education required or within 6 months of hire, ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Additional Position Information: Must have fetal monitoring certification, be comfortable stabilizing babies, and demonstrate strong interpersonal and analytical skills essential for patient instruction, comfort, and effective care plan development.
