Job Summary
ORT (Operating Room Technician), Surgical Technician Location: Not Specified. This position involves maintaining sterile conditions, anticipating the needs of the surgical team, and ensuring that all instruments and supplies are properly handled in a multi-specialty outpatient surgery center. The role supports high-volume orthopedics and ophthalmology procedures, providing essential assistance within the surgical environment.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program or completion of a military Surgical Technologist training program. Thorough knowledge of asepsis, instrumentation, suture, and surgical procedures. Proficiency in using a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient care needs and prescribed medical therapies. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days.
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Responsibilities: Provides safe, efficient age-specific nursing care, assists with technical responsibilities in operative procedures, ensures availability and proper functioning of instruments and supplies, supports the operative team, actively participates in quality improvement processes, and complies with all policies and standards.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) to be obtained within 90 days of start date.
• Physical Demands: Standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, and eye/hand/foot coordination.
• Start Date: 10/05/2026
• End Date: 01/03/2027
