Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse position in the local area. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients within a specialized clinical environment. The nurse will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care based on organizational policies and professional standards.

Job Details

  • Position involves assessing patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs. Reviews patient history, physical, diagnostics, and laboratory data.
  • Formulates a plan of care, including discharge planning, utilizing assessment data and patient, family, and healthcare team input. Initiates and revises the plan based on patient condition.
  • Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision. Provides care based on physician orders, policies, and procedures, and promotes continuity of care by effective communication.
  • Evaluates patient and family responses to care and teaching, revises the plan as necessary, and documents all assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
  • Provides care based on the best available evidence and may participate in research activities. Contributes to professional development by assisting in training and mentoring others.
  • Interacts with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts to ensure optimal patient outcomes and effective communication.
  • The schedule for this role is Days shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Must possess a current, valid RN license in the state of practice, BLS certification, and meet experience requirements including a minimum of one year in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months.
