Job Summary
The Healthcare Professional, Hospice Specialty, is based in the local area and provides comprehensive end-of-life care to geriatric patients. This role involves delivering compassionate hospice services, coordinating with an interdisciplinary team, and ensuring quality care for patients and their families.

Job Details

• Position: Hospice Healthcare Professional (HOSPICE)
• Schedule: 8am 5pm, with every 4th weekend rotation and two service days per week
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, recent experience required
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• Clinical Skills: Home Health/Hospice, cultural awareness, death pronouncement, death/dying counseling, postmortem care, advanced directives, medical futility, medical abandonment, organ donation, palliative sedation, withholding/withdrawing treatment, analgesic ladder, adjuvant therapy, breakthrough dosing, pediatric dosage calculations, pain assessment, PCA pump management, pain types and treatment, utilization of pain scales, IV management, patient/family goal setting, intake assessment and interview, patient/family education, ascites, constipation/diarrhea, nausea/vomiting
• Patient Care: End-of-life care for geriatric patients with a daily patient volume of 5-7 cases within a territory of up to a 60-mile radius from the hub
• Schedule Details: 8 hours per shift, 40 hours minimum per week
• Additional Information:
  Constantly maintaining timely documentation and communication is required. All candidates must have a license in hand and be prepared for orientation on Monday. The role may require on-call duties and flexibility within the territory. Personal transportation is necessary, and RTO requests should be submitted at the time of application. Former employees must be separated for a minimum of 6 months before reapplying as travelers.
