Description

Job Summary
An Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available at a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized critical care to patients in a fast-paced environment, focusing on neuro, medical, surgical, trauma, and cardiothoracic ICU units. The position requires experienced professionals capable of managing complex patient needs and utilizing specialized equipment.

Job Details

  • Location: Not specified (the position is at a healthcare facility).
  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications; active New York State RN license; at least 2 years of healthcare experience in ICU, SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU; travel experience documented; ability to work with CRRT and Prismaflex; valid drivers license matching demographics; proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) - Epic.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Up to 5 years of ICU experience, heart experience is highly preferred due to priority focus.
  • Additional Information: Floating may be required to all ICU units except behavioral health and emergency room (unless holding). Experience with ICU-specific equipment such as IABP, CRRT, Ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and Therapeutic Hypothermia (TTM) is preferred. Scrub color for shifts is navy.
