Job Summary
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Located in the metropolitan area, this role involves providing specialized nursing care to adult patients with neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions. The position requires clinical expertise in stroke management, use of specialty equipment, and experience with electronic medical records, particularly EPIC system.

Job Details

  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license with active license verification, current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Intermediate Care Units (IMCU)/Progressive Care Units (PCU), including stroke patient care. Up-to-date resume documenting at least 2 years of experience in IMCU/PCU, travel experience, and matching skills checklist. Drivers licenses with address matching demographics.
  • Schedule: Nights shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, totaling 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: Floating requirement included; candidates must be flexible to accommodate unit needs. Unit specific equipment includes temporary pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines, Bipap machines, and Neptune Vapos. The unit has 64 beds, with 15 designated for neuro patients, and handles a diverse adult patient demographic aged 18 and above. The specialty requires proficiency with chronic vents and neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory management.
