Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Puyallup, WA located at a Level III Trauma Center with 375 licensed beds. This position involves providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population, including trauma, sepsis, stroke, mental health, respiratory issues, and geriatric patients. The role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with varying patient acuities.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Provide emergency care in a Level III Trauma Center with a high acuity patient population, including trauma, GSW, sepsis, COVID, STEMI, stroke, and mental health. Support patient transfers to other facilities when necessary.
  • Required Qualifications: Emergency Department (ED) experience, BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, CPI/MOAB certifications. Valid licensure in the state of Washington. Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms, perform IV skills, and administer various medications. Recent EPIC electronic health record experience. Minimum of 0 years of ER experience required.
  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: Orientation includes badge issuance, EPIC training, meet with educator, and mental health area training. Second day involves a 12-hour shift with a preceptor. Telemetry competency required and to be completed prior to start. The schedule is provided three weeks in advance, and flexibility for weekend shifts is expected. Scrub colors are flexible, provided they are professional. Parking is free, and a team-oriented, traveler-friendly culture is maintained.
  • Submission Requirements: Candidates must be able to pass the required telemetry competency exam prior to start.
