Job Summary
The Bone Marrow Transplant Unit (BMT) Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in California. This role involves providing evidence-based, hands-on nursing care to patients within the scope of practice outlined by the California Nursing Practice Act, regulatory standards, and hospital policies. The RN collaborates with patients and their families to deliver family-centered care, assessing needs, implementing interventions, and promoting recovery in a specialized clinical setting.

Job Details

  • Position includes certification requirements: CA-RN (Registered Nurse), current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
  • Educational qualification preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university.
  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Role involves rapid assessment, development of individualized care plans, and execution of nursing interventions.
  • Collaborates with healthcare team members to evaluate treatment effectiveness and adjust care as needed.
  • Teaches patients and families about self-care, illness prevention, and recovery processes, adjusting communication based on developmental and cultural needs.
  • Contributes to continuous quality improvement through team participation, mentoring, and professional development.
  • Monitors practices to ensure safety and compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Demonstrates leadership in professional nursing practices, including self-assessment and adherence to standards.
