Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) This position is located in a busy labor and delivery unit within a healthcare facility. The role involves providing specialized care for antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum patients. The nurse will work nights in a unit that handles vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and triage, following AWHONN guidelines to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Position Description: Providing labor and delivery services in a unit equipped with GE fetal monitoring and electronic medical records systems.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; graduation from an accredited nursing program; experience in labor and delivery nursing; current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; location requirements; no minimum years of experience specified.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The unit has 18 beds with a staff of approximately 54, including RNs, OB technicians, and a charge nurse. Responsibilities include circulating cesarean sections, managing Pitocin, and caring for antepartum patients. Floating to mother-baby units may be required on a temporary basis. The unit emphasizes teamwork, a positive culture, and a passion for providing excellent patient care.
