Job Summary
Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) Henderson, IN. This position involves providing high-quality patient care within a 45-bed Medical Surgical unit. The RN will be responsible for managing a diverse patient population, performing assessments, and coordinating care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Experience: Must have a current active compact license, AHA BLS, and NIHSS. Minimum of two years of strong Medical Surgical experience; recent EPIC charting experience required.
• Schedule: 12-hour days, 6:30 AM 7:00 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include patient assessment, management of PIV insertions, chest tube/indwelling drain management, CBI, drip management (heparin, cardizem), PEGs/NGs, ostomy care, remote tele, blood product administration, NIHSS/dysphagia screen, and critical thinking skills.
• Float: Float rotation may be required within skillset, including potential cross-campus float to Deaconess Newburgh (IN) and Deaconess Midtown (IN).
• The position involves every third weekend and every other holiday.
• Candidates must be social, resilient, and capable of managing change effectively.
• The unit operates with experienced staff, and precepting of students & new-hires may be required.
