Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit Medical (ICU Med) Nurse in Hawaii This position involves providing specialized critical care to patients within the ICU setting at a Level I Trauma Center. The role requires a dedicated healthcare professional to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, ensuring safety and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Minimum requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, with a BSN preferred, and an active, unencumbered Hawaii RN license. Certifications such as BLS/Healthcare Provider (HCP), ACLS, and NIHSS are required; specialty certifications like CCRN are highly desired. The candidate must pass an EKG exam with 80% or higher during orientation.
  • Required Qualifications: Active Hawaii RN license; BLS/HCP, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; 2+ years of full-time staff RN experience in a Medical Intensive Care Unit at a Level I Trauma Center; current and valid licenses and certifications throughout the contract.
  • Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours per shift, a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: Preference for previous Queens Health System traveler experience. May be assigned as a nursing assistant or safety sitter if RN needs are not present on the unit. Compliance must be completed no later than 10 days prior to the start date to avoid delays or cancellation. Submit a current NURSYS report with application.
