Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Location Not Specified. This position involves providing critical care in a Level II Trauma Center Emergency Department. The role includes managing adult and pediatric emergency cases, performing specialized procedures, and supporting rapid response efforts to emergent conditions.

Job Details

  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; required for submission
  • Education Requirements: Basic Nursing Degree (RN license in a valid state or compact license in hand at submission)
  • Years of Experience: 1 year minimum experience preferred, with a requirement of at least 0 years minimum
  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Patient Care: Management of chest tubes, TPA, breathing treatments, Trach care, RSI (Rapid Sequence Intubation), cardioversion, defibrillation, cooling/warming blankets, LVAD/Impella, obtaining 12-lead ECGs, and administering various medications such as vasopressors and antiarrhythmics.
  • Patient Age Groups: Adults and Pediatrics, including Adolescents and Infants
  • Experience in a Level II Trauma Center required, with skills in airway management, medication administration, and emergency procedures.
  • Additional Qualifications: Experience with ventilated patients, central line care, blood product administration, interpretation of ABGs and EKGs, procedural sedation, starting IVs, and triage in trauma settings.
  • Special Equipment: Cardizem, Dopamine, Epinephrine, Insulin, Levophed, Nitroglycerin, Norepinephrine, Propofol, Amiodarone, and other emergency medication supplies.
  • Submission Requirements: Candidates must include responses to prior work at Providence facilities, two references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years, and be prepared for potential floating between nearby facilities.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
