Job Summary
Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Nurse (MS REHAB) Night Shift Location not specified. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for patients recovering from significant medical events, including stroke, orthopedic surgeries, brain injuries, and other debilitating conditions. The position requires collaborative interdisciplinary efforts and adherence to evidence-based practices to help patients regain independence and ensure comprehensive recovery.

Job Details

Position Description: Shift: 3x12 Nights. Responsibilities include managing care for patients in a rehabilitation hospital dedicated to recovery from stroke, orthopedic surgeries, brain injuries, and other conditions requiring multidisciplinary rehabilitation.
Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). Valid state or compact license in hand at time of submittal. Experience with patients requiring rehabilitation, including stroke, orthopedic, and brain injury cases. Experience with electronic charting systems, specifically Epic, is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in long-term acute care settings and trauma level II experience are preferred. Experience with accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line management, and other specialized skills is highly desirable.
Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 09/21/2026 and ending on 12/21/2026.
Additional Information: The role may involve floating to other units such as long-term acute care to support med-surg patients. Candidates should be prepared to complete onboarding modules onsite during orientation.
