Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a medical-surgical setting. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to adult patients with a wide variety of diagnoses, including cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and metabolic conditions. The position requires adaptability and the ability to float between departments as needed, ensuring high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 10/26/2026 to 01/25/2027
• Required Qualifications: Valid Missouri or Compact state RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification, 1-2 years of relevant experience, familiarity with Epic (electronic medical record system), experience in MS/Tele, Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, or similar units.
• Preferred Qualifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, prior experience in trauma level I or II settings, charting experience in Epic, and previous community hospital or LTAC experience.
• Additional Information: The RN will be responsible for cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy management, medication administration including heparin protocols, and respiratory management such as non-invasive airway devices and ABG interpretation. The role includes managing complex patients with diverse diagnoses like heart failure, stroke, COPD, and post-cardiac procedures. Floating to multiple units including Med/Surg and Intermediate departments within the system may be required. The RN must complete compliance modules prior to shift and participate in mandatory orientation hours.
