Description

Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Nights Location TBD. This role involves providing high-acuity patient care within a 24-bed unit specializing in adult and geriatric patients. The position requires independently managing complex clinical cases and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (20:00-08:30), minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Active RN license in MD or compact state, BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS certifications, and experience with charting systems such as Epic. Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, including patient management in adult and geriatric populations.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, trauma level I or II experience, community hospital experience, and proficiency in managing ventilated patients and advanced monitoring equipment.
  • Additional Information:
    • Must be able to float within the ICU and lower acuity units as needed.
    • Requirement to work every other weekend and as scheduled for holidays.
    • No on-call responsibilities.
    • Must have completed onboarding labs within 72 hours of signing the contract, with compliance due five days before start date.
    • Variations in patient care include handling chest tubes, ventilators, arterial lines, IV management, and assistance with rapid response teams.
