Job Details

• Position Description:
  Subcontractor Note: Start Date: 10/26/2026 or any Monday after. Schedule details: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Certifications & Education Requirements:
  Active Illinois licensure, CPR, ACLS, NIHSS. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). Must pass an EKG test with a score of 80% or above.
• Responsibilities:
  Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, multi-system organ failure, thermoregulation, and post-operative cardiac care including CABG, intra-aortic balloon pump, Impella, LVAD/RVAD, and valve repairs. Manage pulmonary artery lines, Swan Ganz monitoring, central lines, PICC lines, and blood products. Administer medications via continuous IV infusions, including paralytics, sedation, emergency medications, and vasoactive drips. Oversee CVA/Stroke management, lumbar drains, ventilated patient care, HFNC, ABG interpretation, suctioning, ventilator management, infection control, PPE use, phlebotomy, and surgical wound care.
• Required Qualifications:
  Active Illinois license, CPR, ACLS, NIHSS certification. Minimum 3 years ICU CV experience.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  Charge experience in CVICU preferred.
• Schedule:
  Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Additional Information:
May float to Glenbrook MICU, Evanston ICU, or Highland Park ICU as needed. Requires submission of an updated resume, recent ICU skills checklist, supervisor reference within the last year, EKG test passing score of 80% or above, and verification of Illinois licensure.
