Job Details

• Position Description: This ICU nurse role focuses on cardiac and general intensive care, requiring expertise in interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, multi-system organ failure, and post-cardiac surgery care. Responsibilities include ventilator management, IV therapy, and infection prevention, among other duties.
• Certifications & Education Requirements: Active Illinois nursing license, CPR, ACLS, NIHSS; Epic experience; cardiovascular ICU skills; specific clinical certifications required.
• Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Proven experience in cardiovascular ICU nursing, with skills in interpreting ABGs, managing ventilators, and administering IV medications. Must pass an EKG test with a score of 80% or above. Recent ICU skills checklist and supervisor reference within the last year are required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience float to MICU, Evanston ICU, or Highland Park ICU preferred.
• Additional Information: The role may involve float rotation to other ICU units as needed, including Glenbrook MICU, Evanston ICU, or Highland Park ICU.
