Hematology Nurse, located in the area, provides safe, competent, high-quality patient care within an oncology and infusion therapy setting. This role involves collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver evidence-based nursing interventions, educate patients and caregivers, and support quality and safety initiatives aligned with organizational standards.
Job Details
- Position Description: The Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse delivering quality, evidence-based care tailored to oncology and infusion patients. Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, and execution within the framework of Relationship Centered Care and the modified primary nursing care model.
- Required Qualifications: NYS RN License, BLS certification, minimum of 2 years RN experience, 1 year travel experience (not required for Per Diem positions), Epic experience highly preferred, Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Schedule: Days shift, 9.5 hours per shift, minimum of 38 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Oncology/infusion experience is required. Chemo/immuno/bio provider card is required. The Nurse will perform charge duties, coordinate supplies and staffing, facilitate patient throughput, and contribute to clinical excellence and improvements.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in oncology, infusion therapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, bio-providers, and Epic EMR.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
