Job Summary
The Anchorage, Alaska, Surgical Technician (Operating Room Technician) position involves providing specialized support in a busy operating room environment. The role primarily focuses on assisting with orthopedic and neuro surgical procedures, including total joint arthroplasty, multi-level spine fusions, and Xi Robotic cases, utilizing advanced surgical technology.
Job Details
- Certifications: NBSTSA (National Board Certification for Surgical Technologists), Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Education and Experience Requirements: No minimum experience required, with expertise needed in Da Vinci Xi Robotic Spinal Fusion (orthopedic or neuroservice), Orthopedics including Total Joint Arthroplasty, and Neuro Experience.
- Location Requirements: Anchorage, Alaska.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Responsibilities: On-call duties approximately 5-6 shifts per month, including weekends, with varied call times.
- Patient Care: Assisting with total joint, spine fusion, and Xi Robotic surgeries, requiring familiarity with related equipment and procedures.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with Xi Robotic systems and neuro or orthopedic procedures.
- Additional Information: Candidates must demonstrate a positive outlook and willingness to collaborate with team members. Scrubs are provided, and policies/guidelines are available for review.
