Job Summary
The Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in Wausau, WI, is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care within a Medical and Pediatrics unit. This role involves managing adult patients with respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological conditions, gastrointestinal illnesses, and other acute or chronic health issues, utilizing their expertise to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

Position: Medical Surgical Floor RN
Location: Wausau, WI
Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, Friday through Sunday, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: WI RN License, BLS (American Heart Association or ARC), at least 2 years of clinical experience, EPIC charting experience, associate degree or certificate, and valid WI address
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Responsibilities: Provide care for adult patients with respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological and infectious diseases, manage acute conditions, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and adapt to rapidly changing clinical situations.
Certifications: Current WI RN license, BLS certification from AHA or ARC
Schedule Details: 12-hour night shifts on Fridays to Sundays, with the possibility of working low-census hours as needed
Submission: Candidates must submit current licensure and certification documentation to be considered.
Additional Information: The unit prefers resilient, adaptable, and socially capable candidates who can work independently, manage change well, and maintain a positive attitude throughout shifts.
