Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse - Coastal Area. This position involves providing specialized care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, including support for high-risk pregnancies, fetal monitoring, and assisting with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: 2 years of experience, current ACLS, AWHONN Advanced certification or ability to obtain, BLS, FHM, NRP certifications, and a valid license. Qualification includes relevant experience in labor and delivery, high-risk obstetrics, and fetal monitoring.
• Preferred Qualifications: Ability to assist with vaginal delivery, circulate for cesarean sections, and work in an OR suite during C-section procedures.
• Responsibilities: Assist with vaginal deliveries, circulate during cesarean sections, monitor fetal heart rates, provide high-risk pregnancy care, and support postpartum care including newborn and maternal couplet care. Light cross-unit floating may be required, particularly to postpartum units.
• Additional Information: Must be able to work in an obstetric operating room and adapt to a fast-paced environment serving approximately 200 deliveries per month. Candidates should be prepared to work a flexible schedule and adhere to hospital policies, including holiday work commitments and RTO requests at time of submission.
• Submission Requirements: Must include responses to recent work at Providence facilities, provide two references covering 1 year within the last 3 years, and demonstrate compliance with licensure and certification policies.
