Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse, located at a medical facility providing acute care. This position involves managing expectant mothers through labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. The role requires professional expertise in obstetric care and the ability to work in a high-paced environment.

Job Details

• Certifications and Education Requirements: BLS, NRP; valid state license (compact license accepted); at least 1 year of relevant experience; location within 50 miles of the facility.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include managing antepartum, labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care, utilizing Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM), assisting with high-risk deliveries, circulating during cesarean sections, and ensuring patient safety through sterile techniques and infection control protocols.
• Experience with charting systems and obstetric procedures is required.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Candidates should be prepared to work every other weekend and a minimum of three holidays during the contract period.
• Submission Requirements: Must include response to whether the candidate has previous experience at a healthcare facility similar to this one, along with two references covering a 1-year period within the last 3 years.
