Operating Room Nurse (OR) Multiple Locations
This position involves providing skilled nursing care in the operating room setting, primarily supporting orthopedic, podiatry, hand, spine/crani, general, and urology cases. The role necessitates a proactive approach to patient care, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to clinical standards in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred; 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred; BLS required; RN License in state of employment or compact; No minimum years of experience required.
• Schedule: 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with 40 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Administer medications and treatments using approved protocols, monitor for side effects and effectiveness, and document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided. Assess learning needs and offer education to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Additional Information: On-call 1-2 times per week and every 3rd weekend (Friday-Sunday). Position may require float between locations in OR. The role involves caring for limited pediatric (ortho only), adult, and geriatric patients, primarily supporting orthopedic procedures such as Mako Total knees/hip, gamma nails, bunion surgeries, ankle scopes, fractures, spinal and craniotomies, general surgeries including robotic procedures, urology, and gynecology.
