Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurses provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reporting and accountable to the Nurse Manager or Director, the Clinical Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of Nursing; Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC); 1 year of nursing experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Additional Information: The position involves providing comprehensive patient assessments, planning and implementing individualized care, and participating in interdisciplinary collaboration to meet complex patient needs. Candidates are expected to demonstrate skills in patient assessment, care planning, point of care testing, research application, cultural competence, prioritization, discharge planning, and safety management.
