The role requires managing patients with complex diagnoses, including those requiring ECMO support during high-pressure shifts.

Job Details

• Position Description: Looking for highly motivated critical care nurses that thrive in very fast-paced, high acuity critical care department. We provide care to some of the most critically ill patients in the Nashville area and frequently receive patients needing our care from all corners of Tennessee and beyond. Though we serve patients with a variety of diagnoses, our biggest service lines are cardiothoracic surgery (open heart recovery) and neuro/neurosurgery. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, our team has also been called on to provide ICU-level care for patients suffering from COVID-19 infection all the way up to extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).
• Certifications, Education, and Experience: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), current Nursys License, Driver's License/State ID, ascension badge photo, professional profile, 2 professional references, and resume. No minimum years of experience required.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Unit Capacity: 15 beds. Patients served include those with cardiac surgery, transplant, myocardial infarction, heart failure, cardiogenic shock, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, post cardiopulmonary arrest, and post ventricular assist device placement. Patients range from adolescent to late adult (14 - 60+). Typical nurse to patient ratio is 1:2.
