IMCU Registered Nurse (RN) Duluth, MN. The role emphasizes teamwork, resilience, and independent task management in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Details

  • Position includes a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, with variable days and nights, guaranteeing 36 hours per week.
  • Required Certifications: Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) License, Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association or ARC, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) through the AHA or ARC, and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
  • Minimum Qualifications: Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing, and 1 year of IMCU experience.
  • The unit has a capacity of 22 beds, with patient ratios of 1:4/5 on days and 1:5/6 on nights. Responsibilities include managing medical patients with transfer orders, wound care, IV starts, neuro assessments, and teamwork in responding to call lights and alarms.
  • Inpatient unit requires social candidates capable of managing tasks independently and efficiently, with a focus on resilience and adaptability to change.
  • Scrub Color: Royal Blue.
  • The role may require weekends and holidays based on unit needs, with holiday rotations assigned as needed.
  • Candidates with demonstrated contract experience in colder climates (Midwest, Northeast, Mountain regions) are preferred to ensure reliability during weather events.
  • The position involves minimal low census hours, with guaranteed hours and potential low census unbillable hours.
  • Clients must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the healthcare provider.
