Operating Room (OR) Nurse in a healthcare facility situated in Colorado. This role involves providing direct patient care across all areas of surgical services, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-anesthesia care. The position requires a versatile RN capable of functioning as a primary caregiver in a dynamic surgical environment.

Job Details

• Position Description: The RN is responsible for delivering comprehensive care within surgical services, including pre-op, intra-op, and post-anesthesia care units. The role includes conducting assessments, documenting care, facilitating transfers, and assisting with patient recovery and education. The RN will handle surgical cases such as General, OB/GYN, Ophthalmology (cataract surgery), and Orthopedics, with activities extending to instrument processing and infection control.
• Certifications & Education Requirements: RN licensure with current Colorado licensure. CPR certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in pre-operative, intra-operative, or post-anesthesia care units is preferred.
• Schedule: Dayshift, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, with rotational call on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Working hours generally from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with occasional late days to accommodate surgical case loads.
• Additional Information: The RN must be able to perform effectively in highly stressful situations, including long periods of standing and lifting, potential exposure to blood and body fluids, and adherence to infection control standards as outlined by relevant professional associations. The position reports directly to the Surgical Services Manager or her designee.
