Job Summary
Step Down Unit Nurse, located in Morristown/Goryeb, specializes in intermediate care nursing within a shared governance model. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, while collaborating with the healthcare team to promote evidence-based practices and a healing culture.

Job Details

Position Description: Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served. Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidence-based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families. Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.
Schedule: Evenings shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, including every 3rd weekend and 1 summer holiday. Floating as needed.
Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred. Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Relevant experience with at least 1 year of intermediate care nursing or step-down nursing. Skills in patient assessment, communication, and computer proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in intermediate care/step-down nursing.
Additional Information: Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.
