Description

Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Department position in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing professional nursing direct patient care to obstetric patients, supporting both routine and high-risk deliveries, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. The position requires a commitment to collaborative, interdisciplinary care and adherence to established clinical standards.

Job Details

Schedule: Rotating shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with a variable position including week minimum stretches between day/night shifts, and a minimum of 50-70% night shift.
Required Qualifications: 2 years of experience; Certifications include BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, NRP; Education requirements include relevant nursing degree; Location requirements involve Washington state licensure application (active license not required at submission); and the candidate must have at least 0 years of experience in labor and delivery or related fields.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system, Level I Nursery, Neonatal Resuscitation, and other advanced obstetric skills specified in the skill set.
Float: Float rotation may be required, approximately 0-3 times per month; all floating from OB involves assisting hands, sitter/camera watching, or CNA-style work.
Additional Information: Ensures proper assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Responsibilities include monitoring fetal heart rates, assisting with high-risk delivery procedures, neonatal resuscitation, and postpartum care. Candidates must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and the flu.
