This position involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients undergoing outpatient surgery and endoscopy procedures, primarily in an outpatient setting, with responsibilities including pre-op and post-anesthesia care. The role requires supervising nursing staff, collaborating with healthcare team members, and ensuring safe, quality patient care.

Job Details

• Location: The healthcare professional will be practicing in a well-established outpatient surgery and endoscopy environment, focusing on perioperative and PACU phase II workflows.
• Schedule: Rotating shift, 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, typically between 5:30am and 11am start times.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN); California Registered Nurse (RN) licensure; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor (AHA or ARC); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor (AHA or ARC); at least 2 years of outpatient surgery and endoscopy experience; experience with moderate sedation and rapid patient turnover; comfortable with pre-op and PACU phase II workflows; EPIC electronic health record system experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in outpatient surgery and perioperative care; fast-paced outpatient endoscopy environment experience; familiarity with pre-op open heart and total joint patients.
• Additional Information: The candidate must have a CA RN license and be comfortable with outpatient surgery procedures including endoscopy and moderate sedation. The environment is fast-paced, requiring excellent multitasking and patient care skills.
