Description
Job Summary:
Pediatric Operating Room Open Heart Specialist in the location specified. This position involves providing specialized nursing care within an inpatient treatment setting, supporting the delivery of patient-centered treatment plans for pediatric patients undergoing open heart procedures. The role emphasizes collaboration with the healthcare team to facilitate safe and effective care across the continuum.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shifts with start times at 6:45 AM, 9:00 AM, or 10:45 AM, consisting of 12-hour shifts for a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse (RN) License; American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); three years of CVOR circulating experience; one year of recent travel assignment experience within the last three years; proficiency in clinical equipment, computers, and technology relevant to nursing practice; experience guiding unlicensed assistive personnel as per the California Nurse Practice Act and organizational policies; Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Preferred Qualifications: Two years of pediatric CVOR scrub experience.
- Additional Information: The nurse will independently provide patient care, evaluate and incorporate evidence-based practices, participate in safety initiatives, and support patient and family-centered care. On-call availability is required.
