Operating Room (OR) Specialist in the Houston Pearland area, specializing in surgical procedures including orthopedic, general, colorectal, urological, and gynecological surgeries. This position involves supporting a busy surgical unit with responsibilities centered around patient care and procedural assistance in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Position Description: Provides support for complex surgical procedures within a high-volume Operating Room unit, utilizing advanced equipment such as daVinci Xi, Hologic Trident, Stryker laparoscopic towers, Hana table, and Olympus Cystoscopy Tower. Responsibilities include pulling case carts, updating families via phone or Surgical Symphony text, providing lunch/break relief, and supporting after-hours recovery nurses.
• Certifications and Education: BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Specialty: Operating Room
• Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Candidates must have BLS and ACLS certifications, with experience in an operating room setting preferred. No minimum experience is required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Meditech electronic medical record systems and prior experience within a healthcare provider environment are preferred.
• Additional Information: Support includes weekend and on-call coverage with full-time staff rotation, approximately five shifts involving one weekend and one weekday evening shift.
