Job Summary
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in the location. This role involves providing high-quality patient care to critically ill individuals, with responsibilities including patient assessment, education, medication administration, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team. The RN ensures compliance with all standards of practice and promotes a healing environment centered on patient needs.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week, every 3rd weekend.
  • Required Qualifications: Current New York State Registered Nurse License; BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross); ACLS Certification.
  • Required Experience: Six (6) months to three (3) years of nursing experience, specifically with intensive cardiac patients including CHF, COPD, end-stage heart failure, cardiogenic shock, septic shock, GI bleeds. Experience with CRRT, IABP, Impella, and normothermia, as well as stroke patients undergoing thrombectomy/TNK.
  • Skills: Collaboration, communication (verbal & written), judgment/critical thinking, organizational understanding, planning (organizing, time management), problem solving, quality, reliability, safety, and risk management.
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • Certifications & Licensure: Current New York State Registered Nurse License; BLS Certification; CCRN and relevant skills certifications (ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by the assigned unit preferred.
  • Additional Information: Experience with intensive cardiac patients (CHF, COPD, end stage heart failure, cardiogenic shock, septic shock, GI bleeds, CRRT, IABP, Impella, and normothermia), stroke patients thrombectomy/TNK, and ICU overflow is preferred.
