Job Summary
Step Down Unit Nurse (Specialty: Step Down) located within a healthcare provider setting, this role involves providing specialized nursing care to patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring and treatment. The position supports the organizations mission to deliver high-quality patient care by managing a diverse adult patient population with various diagnoses.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Licensure to submit, minimum of 3 years of experience, BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS certifications.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a step-down or telemetry unit.
• Responsibilities: Managing patients with respiratory issues, weakness, urinary tract infections, acute kidney injury, and chest pain; titrating drips such as Heparin, insulin, Cardizem, and amiodarone.
• Additional Information: Unit notes specify a 50-mile radius rule, with all submissions requiring a copy of the candidates unexpired drivers license. The unit includes bedside monitor techs and monitoredstrip reading at Ruby. Orientation specific to the unit and department is provided.
