Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital, located in Michigan. This role involves providing critical patient care in a fast-paced ER environment, utilizing specialized skills in trauma and emergency response. The position offers an opportunity to work nights on a 13-week contract, with potential to float to Medical-Surgical units as needed.

Job Details

• Position: ER Nurse
• Location: Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital, Michigan
• Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks, start date September 21, 2026, end date December 19, 2026
• Required Qualifications: Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license; American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Associate Degree or Certificate; no minimum experience required but 2 years are preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Aseptic practice skills, patient monitoring including EKG, invasive pressure, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation, post-anesthesia care, drug dose calculation, management of tubes, endotracheal tubes, tracheostomies, and patients on mechanical ventilation, clinical competency in conscious sedation.
• Responsibilities: Delivery of patient care based on interpersonal, physiological, and psychosocial frameworks, utilizing critical thinking skills. Accountability for aseptic practices, patient monitoring, medication administration, and managing various medical devices.
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with every third weekend rotation and holiday coverage as needed.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must be able to provide proof of certifications and licensure upon request.
