Description

Job Summary:
Telemetry (TELE) nurse position in a high-acuity adult care setting. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with various medical conditions, utilizing advanced telemetry skills, and adapting to multiple units within the healthcare provider's facilities. The role is suitable for experienced nurses capable of floating to different units as needed.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, rotating days and nights.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), minimum of 2.0 years recent adult telemetry experience, and current NIHSS certification.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience caring for acute care patients recovering from procedures such as biopsies; familiarity with electronic charting systems, particularly Epic.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to other facilities and units within a 75+ mile radius based on operational needs.
  • Additional Information: This is a traveler position with a start date of 10/06/2026 and an end date of 01/05/2027. Orientation includes 24 hours of training. Travelers must have recent adult telemetry and stepdown/progressive care unit experience, with a variety of clinical skills including cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV management, and more. All candidates must submit two recent references and provide employment history, including any prior employment within University of California medical facilities.
