Job Summary
A registered nurse specializing in step down units is needed in the healthcare provider's facility. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to adolescents, adults, and geriatrics in a fast-paced, specialized environment. The position offers rotating day and night shifts, including weekends, with flexibility to float to other facilities as needed.

Job Details

  • Location: Inpatient step down unit at a healthcare provider's facility.
  • Certifications: California Registered Nurse license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of cardiovascular telemetering experience; telemetry experience required, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias; transplant experience preferred.
  • Schedule: Rotating day/night shifts, 12 hours shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Qualifications: Experience with cardiac step-down units, management of cardiac drips (dobutamine, dopamine, etc.), and use of electronic charting systems preferred.
  • Responsibilities: Providing direct patient care, managing cardiac rhythms, administering medications, operating equipment such as external pacemakers and chest tubes, and working within interdisciplinary teams.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Submission Requirements: Must submit completed references and current licenses at the time of application, with minimum of two references from the most recent employer.
