Job Summary
The Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in an acute care setting. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care, including assessment, education, medication administration, and support for patient recovery and health promotion. The RN will work nights to ensure high-quality nursing services are delivered around the clock.

Job Details

• Certifications: Current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License, BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross). Unit-specific requirements are listed in the Compliance Matrix.
• Education Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
• Experience Requirements: Nursing (RN) experience of six (6) months to three (3) years; Management experience of zero (0) to three (3) years; Five (5) or more years of direct experience.
• Specialty: Medical Surgical Floor.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
• Duties include assessing, planning, delegating, and evaluating nursing care, educating patients and families, administering medications safely, and collaborating with the healthcare team.
• Candidates will be expected to actively participate in professional development, support shared governance, and comply with all practice standards and policies.
• Skills required include collaboration, communication, judgment, organization, critical thinking, problem-solving, and safety management.
