Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Salida, CO. This position involves providing comprehensive care to laboring, postpartum, and neonate patients in a family birthing center. The role requires evaluating patient health, collaborating with healthcare team members, and acting as an advocate for mothers and infants throughout the childbirth process.

Job Details:

  • Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Maintain active Colorado Registered Nurse license; BLS and NRP certification are required; ACLS certification and NRP are preferred; minimum of an Associates Degree (ADN) from an accredited nursing program; 0 years of experience required.
  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Essential duties include directly providing patient care and monitoring responses during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases; promoting wellness through education; assisting with breastfeeding; documenting all events and education; communicating patient condition to the team; collaborating with nursery nurses and supporting physicians with procedures; maintaining a safe, clean environment.
  • The RN assists in emergency situations, helps staff maintain skills, and educates patients on infant care.
  • The physical demands include frequent standing, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, and specific visual acuity to monitor patient conditions.
