Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in the area. This position involves providing comprehensive care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases. The role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to efficiently manage various obstetric and neonatal responsibilities.
Job Details
- Position Description: SIMPLIFI CLINICAL INTERVIEWING. The RN must be comfortable with exposure to postpartum (PP) care, including cervical exams, antepartum and labor management, amnio infusions, epidurals, fetal monitoring, IV insertions, Pitocin administration, and circulating C-sections. Responsibilities also include baby catching/receiving, APGAR scoring, and breastfeeding support with strong knowledge of postpartum transition to discharge.
- Certifications: BLS, NRP, fetal monitoring.
- Education Requirements: Required certifications listed above.
- Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Location Requirements: No specific location restrictions.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certified in BLS, NRP; experience with fetal monitoring, cervical exams, antepartum, labor management, amnio infusions, epidurals, IVs, Pitocin, C-section circulation, baby catching, and postpartum care; strong LD experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Multilingual skills (Russian/Spanish preferred), scrub experience, comfort with postpartum care.
- Additional Information: The RN will work in a 20-bed facility with 12 labor/delivery beds, 8 postpartum/antenatal beds, 3 OB/ED rooms, 2 ORs, and a Level II NICU with 6 beds. The EMR system preferred is Epic. The position does not require call. Scrubs are provided in teal. On-call NP available for support.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates should be prepared to meet the listed clinical competencies and schedule commitments for the start date of 11/16/2026, with the assignment ending on 02/13/2027.
