Job Summary
The Pagosa Springs Medical Center is seeking a Medical Surgical Chemotherapy Certified Oncology RN to join the Oncology and Infusion Services team in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. This outpatient infusion nursing position involves providing direct patient care, including chemotherapy administration, infusion therapy, patient monitoring, and education within a rural community hospital setting.

Shift Hours: 7:00 a.m. 5:30 p.m.
Hours: 40 hours/week
Minimum Experience: 0 years required
Required Qualifications: Active Registered Nurse license; at least 2 years of oncology nursing experience; current Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification; ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification; AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications: Outpatient infusion experience; Port/PICC access experience; experience administering chemotherapy; experience working in an oncology infusion clinic.
Additional Information: The RN will administer chemotherapy and infusion medications, perform IV starts, port access, and central line care, operate infusion pumps, monitor therapy, provide patient education, perform assessments, and document care within Cerner EMR. The role supports oncology providers and infusion clinic operations, ensuring proper lab orders, treatment verification, and insurance authorization.
