Description

Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Specialty Nurse Location: unspecified. This role involves providing high-quality care for patients across the obstetric continuum, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and triage. The position requires expertise in fetal monitoring, oxytocin and insulin drips, and C-section circulation in a busy Mother-Baby Unit setting.

Job Details

  • Certifications, Education, and Experience: Valid ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and STABLE Certification. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience within the last 3 years; transition skills and travel experience highly preferred.
  • Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Responsibilities: Titrate drips such as oxytocin and insulin, support triage and postpartum care, assist with C-section circulating, and provide support during labor and delivery. Read fetal monitoring strips and document according to AWHONN standards.
  • Additional Job Information: Role includes potential float to MedSurg and on-call duties; unit coverage includes OB tech support, Level 3 NICU team, and 24/7 OB/neonatology on-call coverage. Experience with fetal monitoring systems and postpartum couplet care preferred.
  • Submission Requirements: License to submit required; candidates must be in the state during orientation week.
