Description
Job Summary
Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) in an acute care setting. This role involves sterilization and processing of surgical instruments and equipment, including robotic instrumentation, within a short-term acute care facility. The position offers a variety of responsibilities across multiple units with a focus on maintaining strict sterile procedures.
Job Details
- Certifications: CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPAS, sterile processing experience, certification required, experience with robotic instrumentation.
- Education requirements: Not specified.

- Years of Experience: At least 1 year experience required.
- Schedule: Evening shift, 8-hour shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional responsibilities include cleaning equipment such as crash carts and IV pumps, high-level disinfection, sterilization wrapping and testing, tray assembly, and handling specialized procedures involving robotics and endoscopy equipment.
- Candidates should have experience with sterilization wrapping procedures, equipment documentation, and working with a variety of surgical instruments, including Da Vinci Robotics systems, endoscopy, and other specialized tools.
- Candidates must be familiar with proper labeling, organizing trays, and both manual and automated cleaning processes.
- Candidates should also be prepared to work during holidays if scheduled, with the ability to fulfill required scheduling commitments.
- Submission requirements: Candidates must include responses to questions about previous work at a Providence facility and provide two references covering at least one year within the last three years.
