Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse, located in a short-term acute care facility, provides specialized care to patients during labor and delivery. This position involves float responsibilities between units, ensuring comprehensive patient support in a fast-paced environment. The role requires adherence to clinical standards and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid license in the desired state, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), and at least 1 year of experience in labor and delivery.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system.
- Responsibilities: Providing patient-centered maternity care, supporting labor and delivery procedures such as Cesarean sections and hysterectomies, maintaining aseptic technique, equipment documentation, and adhering to universal protocols including PPE and sharps safety.
- Additional Information: Candidates must be flexible to float between units. Candidates should not reach out directly to facility contacts unless for an interview arranged through recruitment. Must include responses to specific candidate inquiries during submission, such as prior work at a Providence facility, with dates and locations.
