Job Summary
Emergency Room Registered Nurse This position is located in an emergency department that handles a high-volume, fast-paced environment with a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics. The role involves providing urgent and emergent care in a non-trauma setting, with a focus on complex diagnoses, within a 66-bed emergency department.
Job Details
- Position Description: ER RN (Emergency Room Registered Nurse) working days with 12-hour shifts, scheduled for 36 hours per week. The contract start date is 09/28/2026, with an anticipated end date of 12/28/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Active RN license in MD or a Compact state, valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI certifications. Minimum of 2 years of ER experience, including experience with complex diagnoses, charting in Epic, and patient ratios of 4-5.
- Schedule: Days, 3x12-hour shifts from 08:00 to 20:30, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, including every other weekend and scheduled holidays.
- Additional Information: The ER team staffs a 10-bed hold/observation unit with a staffing ratio of 1:5 to 1:6 depending on acuity. Floating within the ER department, including the observation unit, is required. No pre-scheduled on-call shifts are necessary. Orientation includes 24 hours.
