Job Summary
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Nurse Practitioner position located at the healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized patient care within the IMCU, focusing on a mixture of medical-surgical, tele, cardiac, neuro, and cerebrovascular accident (CVA) patient populations. The position requires active VA or Compact licensure and offers the opportunity for continuity over a 20-week assignment with potential for working major holidays.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid VA or Compact license, 2 years of related clinical experience, active certification as an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Nurse Practitioner, and experience with charge responsibilities preferred.
• Additional Information: Orientation occurs every other Monday unless otherwise noted. The unit generally aims for 2 to 3 weekends per month but depends on staffing needs. The client may cancel shifts up to 36 hours before an assignment due to census. Limited request for time off is available; all requested time off must be included in the initial packet. The role involves working with and mentoring students and new hires, contributing to a supportive team environment. Travel is required for this assignment, which can include work during major holidays.
