Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Surgical Technologist position is available at a healthcare organization in an unnamed location. The role involves supporting adult and pediatric cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries within a Level 1 Trauma and Teaching Hospital setting. The technician will assist in a fast-paced surgical environment that requires a minimum of two years of adult cardiovascular operating room experience.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Surgical Technologist certification, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, and at least 2 years of experience in adult cardiovascular operating room case types.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Support within the department includes working with clinical supervision and charge roles, with the possibility of float to a different CVOR unit. The role involves assisting in adult CVOR surgeries using hospital-issued scrubs and personal scrubs, with free parking provided. Orientation depends on experience level, and flexible scheduling may require covering nights or weekends. Call is required once per week and two weekends within a six-week cycle, with a one-hour callback time.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with adult CVOR case types and familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates should be available to start by October 5, 2026, and work through January 2, 2027.
