Medical Surgical Floor Nurse - Michigan, Nights
This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care to adult patients on a Medical Surgical Floor within a healthcare facility. The role requires implementing patient assessments, developing care plans, and evaluating outcomes, all while adhering to established safety and infection prevention standards.

Position Description:
Consistently demonstrates an outward mindset and diligent effort to support team and patient goals. Conducts initial and ongoing assessments, develops and updates care plans in collaboration with patients, and evaluates outcomes. Utilizes technology appropriately, following safety standards and infection prevention procedures. Educates patients and families, documenting all activities accordingly.
Reports actual or potential occurrences according to hospital procedures. Engages in self-assessment and peer review, completes mandatory education and competency assessments, and participates in performance improvement activities and staff meetings. Practices in alignment with hospital mission, vision, values, nursing philosophy, and ANA's Code of Nursing Ethics. -
Required Qualifications:
Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license, current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, 12-hour night shift schedule, minimum 36 hours per week, 2 years of medical surgical experience, current skills checklist for medical surgical nursing, and the ability to provide own transportation. -

Additional Information:
No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted; requests must be noted in profile upon submission. No scheduling requests are considered after the time of offer or during interviews. Residing within 50 miles of the facility disqualifies candidates. All certifications must be active and uploaded at profile submission. Profile must include work history, skills checklist, Michigan RN license, and all RTO requests.
