Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Float Nurse (MS Float) Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing acute care within a medical-surgical setting, with responsibilities including patient assessment, monitoring, and treatment across a variety of diagnoses. The role requires flexibility to float between units and adapt to changing patient needs.

Required Qualifications: BLS Certification; 2 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities include caring for surgical (such as total joints, fractures, bariatric, urology, general) and medical patients (including CHF, CVA, SOB, diabetic issues), with proficiency in monitoring equipment such as Cpap, BiPap, and high-flow oxygen.
Charting is performed in Epic electronic medical record system.
Flexible scheduling includes every other weekend and holiday shifts; call or standby may be required.
Furnished with unit-specific orientation and float checklist.
