Job Summary
L&D (Labor and Delivery) Department Located in the local healthcare facility, this role involves performing advanced imaging procedures, including computed tomography (CT), with a focus on patient safety and quality diagnostics. The position requires independent judgment to execute technical procedures while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of accredited Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) program. CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was obtained or the date of hire if already acquired; 2 years of relevant experience; valid ARRT certification; current Basic Life Support (BLS), Pennsylvania Act 31, 33, 34, and 73 certifications.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Demonstrates proficiency in performing computed tomography procedures utilizing established scan protocols, including contrast administration.
• Performs technical procedures requiring independent judgment to adjust protocols and ensure appropriate application of ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
• Utilizes complex imaging equipment for acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation of image data in accordance with departmental protocols.
• Demonstrates proper technique in venipuncture and the use of power injectors.
• Administers oral, rectal, and intravenous contrast media per physician orders, assessing patients for potential risks prior to administration.
• Communicates procedures clearly to patients, explaining the process to allay fears and promote cooperation.
• Properly identifies patients using two patient identifiers and reviews patient history in line with departmental protocols.
• Ensures exams are properly coded, tracked, networked for archiving, interpreted, and accurately charged in relevant systems.
• Maintains CT safety standards and protocols consistently.
• Performs all duties in accordance with system-wide competencies and behaviors.
